MY LIFE … Once upon a time in a tiny little village located deep in the mountains … Well okay. Maybe not so deep in the mountains.

However, I was born in Lake Placid, NY which is in the Adirondack Mountains of New York and the relatively famous village that hosted the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. It was a great place to grow up. I don’t live there now, but I am not far away in another small community on the Canadian border. Perhaps its best claim to fame lies in the Almanzo Wilder Farm ( Laura Ingalls Wilder’s husband – “Farmer Boy”) which has been restored and is now a stop on the “Little House on the Prairie” tour (if there is some such).

I spent a great deal of my life working as a journalist, editor and writer of some sort, but also have worked as a computer geek and have a degree in nursing. For several of my earlier years my career appeared to be professional college student. I am a Vietnam Vet and served in the Navy at that time. I edit a small magazine for a national organization most of you will not have heard about as well as do considerable website development.

Today I am happily married to Phyllis and father to Jedidiah van Puppenstein (Jed) an energetic and very loving Jack Russell mixed breed. My wife is a Special Ed teacher and many of our friends claim that is the only reason she can tolerate me.

Currently my writing career has moved into attempting to become a published novelist.  I have completed one novel (my second effort) which is now being evaluated for publication (crossed fingers). This follows an epic journey (ten years) in creating my first epic novel which still needs a bit more work.  I will be starting a third very shortly. I have no idea what my future will bring and have lived long enough not to plan too far ahead – so if you want to know more, I guess you will have to visit here on a regular basis
